Composite Developments is a quality focused firm that manufacture, market and represent recreational brands.
From the beginnings of a specialised fishing rod manufacturer 27 years ago Composite Developments has evolved over the years to become a brand distribution and marketing company. The in-house factory was closed at the end of 2007 and a new purpose built facility was opened in early 2008. This has opened up new opportunities for Composite Developments around the world as our capacity and efficiency increases. The New Zealand based office is now solely focused on the marketing and distribution of various brands and products.
The brand stable at Composite Developments continues to grow and with our alignment to market leading advertising agencies we have been able to grow brands exponentially in the New Zealand and more increasingly Australian market.
We invite you to meet our team and to get in contact with us at any stage.

Due to the continued increase in cost of ultra high quality Prepreg and high grade corks (4A) Composite Developments fly rod prices will be increasing at the end of April 2009. It is expected that the increases will place the XLS around the $1100 NZD mark while the ICT will sit around the $1000 NZD price point. "By using only the most premium materials we expose ourselves to exponentially higher supplier pricing. 4A grade corks for instance are hard to find and rarely available so we end up paying up to ten times the price of a lower grade cork. 66msi graphite is also not readily available in Jiangsu meaning we have to import at great cost the ultra high quality prepreg. We would rather increase our prices than compromise on quality...." Said Adam Johanson head of Sales and Marketing at Composite Developments.
To offset these price changes Composite Developments rods come with a 5 year unconditional warranty as well as a free spare tip section and copy of "The Complete Fly fishing Manual".

Composite Developments hopes that with this relaunch the website will better explain their products and services while improving communication with their customers.
Composite Developments recently redesigned their website in order to make clearer the benefits of working with their company and using their products. The re-launched site can be seen at, wwwcompositedevelopments.co.nz
“The purpose behind this re-launch is to better explain our services, in plainer language than before.” said Marty Johanson, Managing Director of Composite Developments. The goal of the relaunch was to maintain a professional look and tone, while also making the overall message more accessible. While, the message was to be simpler and clearer, the focus of the website still had to squarely remain on our company’s services and products, but in a much broader, more customer-friendly way. This new site speaks to our target market, and lets them know that we can help, regardless of the situation.
